No Luck with TSB related to Blend Door
Hey All -
My new to me X-Type (2002 LH Drive) has had the blend door issue since I've purchased it about a month ago. I saw the TSB (XT412-02) and followed it but no luck - I think the gear in the blower box is too far stripped out. I've tried:
Super Glue Gel
Gorilla Glue
3M Adhesive
JB Cold Weld Epoxy
All with the same results - the door will open from closed..but will only close once and then quit. I called the dealership and they want around 1500 to replace the blower box. The service advisor did have a suggestion of using shrink tube around the shaft to slightly increase its size but still no luck even with that approach.
Anyone have any other ideas? If not, how hard is it to remove the fan blower/blend door assembly?
