Default Noob Question?!?!

Ok guys. I have an 03 Jaguar X-type AWD 2.5L. My question is does my car have ESP (DSC) or Traction control? I dont see any buttons to turn them on of off. So i am not sure...... Also my care is NOT SPORT.

Gupdah, if you had traction control, then there would be a button for it (next to the sport button as I recall). Now, with that being said, you can get a little bit of traction gain by simply riding the brake slightly when you are in really slippery conditions. As the wheel speed picks up (due to the tire loosing traction), by riding the brake slightly, it will put more load on the tire and slow it back down so the power is then transferred to the other wheel on the front/back. In the case of our X's, because we are AWD, we need to break atleast 1 front and 1 rear wheel loose at the same time to loose traction. So, we are at a distinct advantage over most cars on the road which only need to loose traction to 1 wheel to be dead in the water.

I believe on the earlier cars the DSC button is where the little coin holders are on non-DSC cars, near the little blinking security light. Not sure about later versions.
