NOT where to buy parts

i needed new brakes on the rear so i decided to buy the ebc for front and rear and make it look uniform. searched the net and the best prices i found were at www.autopartswarehouse.comso i called them. having way too much experience with internet / mail order parts i called them directly to make sure the parts were in stock. saleweasel swears up and down they have both sets in stock and they will ship out the same day (friday). tuesday comes and i get a package - the rear rotors / discs only. so i call them, and they tell me they are being shipped from a different location and that it is normal for orders to be sent in seperate shipments (ya right).
a week goes by and no other package, so i call. this time i am told that they are out of stock and being shipped directly from EBC to my door, but they cannot provide me a tracking number. they assure me they will arrive by tuesday, but guess what i dont have on tuesday. so i call them back and i am told they are on backorder so i ask to cancel them and be refunded. sales weasel tells me that they have already sent a special order to ebc for them, but they do not know when they will be shipped. it gets better. then he tells me that they cannot issue a refund until the parts have been shipped to me and i have refused to receive them, and theestimated shipping time from ebc to me is 4-8 weeks.they will then be returned to ebc and i can then ask for a refund, which will be issued in 8 to 12 weeks.
needless to say, my next phone call was to american express who were more than happy to suspend the charge for the missing parts and open a dispute with the vendor. of all the credit cards i have had in my lifetime, none have had better customer service than amex.
so please keep this in mind, and pass it to all of your friends. www.autopartswarehouse.comis NOT the place to do business with.

sorry to hear that nine, i've had decent experiences with them in the past but that'll put a bad taste before i do business with them again.

If using www.EBCbrakesdirect.comdont forget to type scooby58 in at the checkout for a discount (also acts as free shipping UK only though).Thats where I got mine from (they arent EBC themselves as the title suggets but then EBC only sell through retailers).

looks like a lot of companies are afraid of american express. i called them after my call to amex to dispute the charge to let them know and they magically overnighted my other set of rotors to me. the sales weasel didn't say a thing about this to me, but they were waiting on my doorstep when i got home, in an overnight box.
