o2 Sensor Flange ??
So I got a P1647 light come up and figured I would change the upstream o2 sensor. Ordered a new one ( Denso ) and it came with some cooper anti seize and flanges. Little instruction sheet said to use them if flange type socket, otherwise just dispose... Honestly I have no idea what the diff is, and if I need to use to remove the old one possibly and install the new one , or does the X not use any so no worries - just dispose of it ??

myexcursion: P1647 is the Bank 2 upstream sensor, on the radiator side, next to the thermostat. It's easier to access than the Bank 1 sensor, on the firewall side.
This post has pictures of the sensor location and the special 7/8 inch socket with a slot for the wires. You can borrow it from most major auto parts stores if you don't have one: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...0/#post1059714
This post has pictures of the electrical connectors for all 4 oxygen sensors. You want the grey connector between the battery and radiator, attached to the metal tray under the battery: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...0/#post1060256
I don't recall any flanges when I installed Bosch sensors. Simply unplug and unscrew the old sensor, screw and plug in the new one. Apply the copper anti-seize to the threads, taking care not to get any on the business end of the sensor.
