dabears, like Alfa said, the up stream sensors are one type of sensor and the downstream ones are a different sensor. Left to right they are the same. You will also find that they have different plugs on them as I recall. So, you can't mix up the up stream and down stream sensors as the plugs are side by side.

Semantics maybe, but the blown fuse doesn't throw the code - it's the circuit that the fuse is on that does. From what I've been able to dig out of wiring diagram in my Haynes manual, fuse F42 is 5 amp on circuit going to the inertia fuel cut-off switch. Five amp fuses are the lowest amperage I see on the diagram by the way. Does car run? It really helps if you provide more basic information on your car when posting - year/engine/transmission/miles. Add the basics to your signature in profile or provide them when you start a thread.

The OEM made a major wiring change in the 2004 models. The fuse locations and designations were changed for all 2004 cars after March 2004.
Fuse 42 prior to March 2004 is a 30 amp fuse for Oxygen sensor heater B. Fuse 38 prior to March 2004 is a 30 amp fuse for Oxygen sensor heater A.
Both fuses are in the engine compartment fuse box.
