Well there you go.The two new Denso oem upstream sensors went in today and bingo, the em light went out straightaway !
She's been driven a few times since and no more codes or em light since so here's hoping.
The lesson from this I reckon is only to fit genuine Denso sensors as it's such a ball ache of a job to get at the rear bank you don't want to have to do it twice if the aftermarket sensors aren't up to it.
Am well chuffed !

I don't think I'm that stupid .They weren't cheap aftermarket they were Bosch or Delco or something similar and we sourced them from a reputable parts suppliers who has accepted them back for refund..They are going to contact the manufacturer to ask them to look again if they are from a faulty batch or if they need to delist them as suitable for X type 3.0.

I've got that Redneck comedy tour on DVD....totally cracks me up.

Sounds like Blues Boy tried to take the high road and still got scuppered.....just bad luck, but as we know some things you just end up having to go original to get within tolerance.

When I last had a sensor problem, I ordered a Denso one with the correct part number from England. I received a Bosch one in a Landrover/Jaguar box and thought it would be okay (even if it wasn't what I ordered). No, it failed after about 5 days. I remembered Dell's warnings and his words to buy the exact Denso one and immediately sought out a provider who had such. In it went and away I went. Haven't had an issue since. I am sure that if members read the full posts on this issue they would find those words Dell expounded. I learnt my lesson.

I think one of mine failed straightaway and the other failed after about a week going on the sequence of codes..Still we live and learn.
They were not cheapos but my mechanic has also said if he gets anyone else with the same problem he will tell them only to have Denso's.
