Sorry if the has been addressed in another thread but considering the number of pages the site has I just couldn't go through them all and the search feature isn't working properly.

So Jazzy's users manual says to use 95 octane or higher gas. The problem is none of the gas stations around herr carry anything higher then 93 octane. Because of this we use an octane booster whenever we fill her up.

We have been using STP octane booster but it was suggested we stop. The reason I was given was "over time STP breaks down the seals." Now I don't know which seals he was referring to but I have never heard anything bad about STP before and my father was a mechanic for many years.

So my questions to everyone are as follows:
1) Has anyone ever heard or seen STP octane booster (or any STP product for that matter) cause any kind of damage whatsoever?
2) Do we really NEED to use an octane booster?
3) If so, how often should we use it?
4) Does anyone else use an octane booster regularly like we do and if so what brand?

The main reason we went with STP was because it was the only brand the gas station had when we decided to start using the booster so it's not a loyalty thing. I just what is best for Jazzy.
