OH NO! UGLY PICS! Don't let family hold your car!
Well guys, guess what? I asked my cousin to let me borrow his truck so that I could haul some furniture, and in return, he could hold the Jag for a couple of hours! Sure enough, I couldn't get in touch with him after I was done...so I had no choice but to wait until the next day to see if I could pick it up in the morning! When I passed by his house at 7am, he wasn't there, so I came to work, a bit nervous, but not really too concerned! Then when I got off of work, I can him and he finally answered. He tells me that he's nervous, and doesn't know what to do! That he had left the car parked, and that someone hit it! As I closely studied the crash, I determined that he either hit a wall, or hit a pole! Here go the crappy camera phone pics. Don't even ask me about what I'm going to do to him! Trunk closes fine, and there is no water going in! [:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

Thanks, it's a 1955 Silver Wrath with 8K original miles...including original paint...AND TIRES! Oil changes every six months though and we'll turn it on about once a month just to not get the gas in the lines clogged! If you turn the car on, and sit on the hood, you wouldn't feel that the car is on, other than the fact that the car makes a little noise...and I mean a LITTLE noise!

HOLD ON A MINUTE.
Just wait.
That's your Rolls Royce?!?!?
Is that damage on your car repairable to the point where it is not noticeable. When my mom smashed my mustang into the garage, scratched the back alot and took off the mirror, it was all undetectable 600 dollars later.

You are soo right! Then again, I'm not too crazy about my things...I don't like to be all crazed up on my personal stuff, so I've always let my mom or dad or close friends hold my car if there was a necesity. I was in need of a truck, he had one, and I didn't think anything of it!!!! Boy have I changed my mentality now! I'll be moving this over to the X type section soo so my buddies over there can take a lookie!

Wow!! That's something. I'm actually a damage investigator for Avis Budget Car Rental Group and I agree that he's hit something pretty solid (like a pole). As you can see by the lines I drew on your pic, whatever it was, it ran the whole length down, as evidenced by the marks within the little circles. The bumper had "rebounded" back out but you can see the tear it left in the composite when it bent beyond it's threshold. That SUCKS!!

aaaargh! oh man, that sucks. :-\ sorry to hear that, big.
if only it was damage to the bumper... but looks like it was hit so bad that the portion of the car above the bumper (next to the trunk) is smashed too. 93xj6, looks to be more than a $600-job.
i'll be sure not to lend my car out to my cousin... ever. he's a dope, just like your cousin.

I have yet to let anyone drive the X without me in the car. I'm so paranoid because most people will say "of course I know how to drive a manual", then you get a call saying they hit someone.
Anyway, hope all goes well getting that fixed.

Biggie...........I feel your pain bro.......Totally sucks!
By the looks of it I'd say it aint gonna be that cheap either to get a professional job done back to "as new!"
Hope you get it fixed and soon at the right price to ease your pain.....no doubt your cousin will be paying the bill anyway!
When my wife was away in Lanzarote a month or so ago, she told me her brother called her and asked if he could borrow the X? She told him no.........I said well, just as well, cos if he'd came here lookin fore the keys he'd have got told where to go.
You wanna see his car...........Its like a shithole inside n out.
Now if thats the way he treats his posessions..........whats he gonna be like with someone elses???
Keep yer chin up Biggie!

Just as a side note Biggie..........( not that you can prove it!)
IF he did have a blast and hit a pole or sumthin, then tell you he'd parked it and someone hit it.
That would be it for me right there..........Lying about it would be just the final straw!

serious pet peeve of mine when people say this. It sounds ridiculous.
It makes yet another case for the brains vs. money discussion. I dont mean to insult.. I really dont... But it is just soooo technically wrong to say a car is ON. Maybe you can learn.
hmm.. A tire can be ON a manhole. or dive ON to a front lawn. and maybe the Jag awas ON top of what ever it backed into. But a car cant be ON in the sense you used it.
I really hope that you are not offended..

First he wrecks your car, then he lies to you. He SHOULD be nervous.
PS- not even your own momma can be trusted with your car because for some reason it is rule of thumb if someone borrows your car something WILL happen to it. I don't know if it is a written rule in the stars or if it is just courtesy to impale your vehicle into something while borrowing it, but it always happens.
If it weren't bad enough that he wrecked it and lied, I am guessing he is not making any efforts to fix it or wants you to go to a chop shop and have it repaired so he can get out cheap? I hope you made a police report because without it this will be the single biggest family brawl of the year for you. Even with family, especially distant family, you have to have a police report or it ends up going to court with nothing after a long time arguing.
