RE: Oil Change
I'm with you JagX..If you know of a good brand and has a good or better than average reputation ..go with it..it is cheap insurance for a longer lasting better running engine..I don't want to sound like a broken record..But Castrol Syntec is second best by the Four ball wear test standard, only to be out performed by a scant margin by Amsoil.

Yep, Warren Petroleum Products (WPP) makes Supertech synthetic. I believe the regular dino is a mix of QS/Exxon/Mobil by demographic region. In 2002 the synthetic used to be Quaker State's base.
Castrol's product is a great synthetic oil, no doubt about it. It's a solid group III/IV oil. However, if you're looking for the best, there's better out there. Dennis ever try that German Castrol syntec oil? IIRC, stuff is like $8/9qt! [:'(]
Edit: The dino oil was scrapping by to get API certification? I've never heard of this. I've been using it on my other cars, too! If you can show me some information pertaining to it, I'm definitely interested.

Ancient..Well so far, all I could find out about it was yes, it's expensive, yes it is PURE synthetic, and can be gotten at Auto Zone (maybe)..and only comes in 0w30..I think I draw the line on the weight not being 5w30..Maybe that 0w30 would be okay in colder climates..but I'm in the southwest US and the summer heat here is long and brutal.
But thanks for the heads up..I enjoy researching new stuff even if it's only new to me..thanks again for sharing.
