OK I give! Help needed.
My cigar lighter does not work. I looked at the manuel, which shows Fuse 68. I looked at the interior fuse panel. On the far leftside, third fuse up I find a slot that is holding a 15amp mini fuse that is not blown. The slot is almost double the normal mini slot. Even the manuel shows the slot almost twice the size.
Question: Is the current 15 amp mini the proper fuse for the larger slot, if not then what.
If the current mini is correct, then any other help in solving the cigar lighter problem. The lighted ring around the lighter works, but when I plug my GPS in, no juice. I have the car started during this process, so it is not whether the key is in the right position.

According to JTIS, F68 does power the cigar lighter and it is the same size as the other fuses in the bottom of the interior fuse panel; however, it is located midway between the upper two rows.
I would suggest checking the socket with a volt meter or try another device in the lighter socket. If you still have no power, then look for disconnected wires. I've also had a bad lighter socket (non-Jag).
As you suspected, the lighter socket is only powered with the key in RUN.
