lol, sorry, was at the pub....ok, tranny fluid, my fav topic.
sealed for life=crap. First thing first. type of tranny fluid. DexIV. period. All that other nonsense is just that. If i remember correctly 10qts, (9.3) that includes the troque converter.
To drain, my fav way, disconnect the lines going to tranny cooler. In and out. Get a pan, put both line in the pan securely, or have someone hold them. start car. fluid will drain (with some force), when it starts to "gargle" turn car off. Everything is now drained. Open the plug on top of tranny, use long funnel and add about 3-4 qts, start car, and add remaining fluid while car is running. Now, if want an Altimate clean job, repeat this step with the clean fluid,drain and add clean fluid again. reconnect everything and you're golden. Approx time, 1.5hrs drinking beer, 2.5hrs.
