P1646 & P1647 with both upstream sensors changed
Hello everybody, I have an X type V6 3.0 '02 and as the title of the threat says my MIL have appears a month ago, so I read the codes and it throws the well known P1646 and P1647.
So...I went to a local Bosch store and buy both upstream sensors, they ask me the VIN and give me parts, so must be for my car I guess.
With the heated O2 sensors installed I reset the car by taking out both wires of the battery and let them touch each other. Then, I start the engine and the MIL were still there, so I connect the reader and erase both. After a few minutes the MIL appears again, I stop the car and read again the codes...the same failures!
The battery was changed 5 months ago so must not be it...
I have download the PIN POINT test to do it and check the continuity of the wires, but don't know how to do it cause I have tried and nothing appears in the screen of the multimeter, can anybody teach me how to do it?
Or could be that I bought Bosch O2 sensors and I should bought the Denso ones?
I feel a bit jerking in 5 gear at about 1.500-1.800rpm but the local Jaguar mechanic sais that could be the MAF or the coils (I will change both cause the car has 110.000km but couldn't be the causative of the MIL and the codes...no?).
Please, I really need help cause I have bought the car 2 months ago without any failure and now I must talk to the previous owner about this stuff...but prefer to talk with him after al the failures were tried to be repaired.

the way i would of went about it,is when it comes to o2 sensors ,ect sensors ,rule of thumb in my opinon is to put the same brand and numer back in,sometimes another brand will work ,but why take that chance it will cost you more if it dont work,so if i was you just replace with the same brand, and go from there ,also clean your maf while your at it

Correct me if I'm wrong, the original are:
- Upstream: Denso 234-9029
- Downstream: Denso 234-4798
Is it true?
Thanks a lot!!
