Where can you find correct color paint for these cars? I have a spot on the wheelwell thats starting to get ugly and I want to take care of it before it gets bad, but every autoparts store I go to doesn't list any Jag in the paintbooks where all the import and domestic touchup paints are.

I would go to a bodyshop first and ask them to make you up a small pot.The ones we do when we repair cars are colour chipped from the car itself. They can get the right ALT (alternative) to the paint code no matter where your car was on the production line.Next bestis a touch up from the dealer.Depends on how picky you are with the end result.

RE: Paint
Hey Cam...............give your dealer a call and they will match it up for you no probs and post it out to you. Should consist of 2 pens, 1 colour and 1 clearcoat........wouldn't have thought it'd run you anymore than £15.
Give them your YOM and reg ad they'll do the rest.
Paint code details....check your paperwork that came with the car and you'll probably find it. If not look at the FAQ section and there is a " European manufacturers paint code locations" thread.
Good luck

Just give them the last 6 digits of your VIN (letter followed by 5 numbers)...saves themlooking up the VIN from your reg which they will only be able to do if you have had your car to them for service or if it was supplied by them from new. This then tells them the paint code. This is how we get paint codes for cars in our bodyshop when they are masked up and the paint code is under all the masking. The variation is then matched by eye and chip cards at our bodyshop(some cars have up to 7 very slight variations (ALTs) of the same paint code depending where on the line it was when painted) but this isbeingreally picky and you may get away with it to the untrained eye.
