Default parking sensor

HI. I have been reliably told that my rear parking sensors are not working as the drivers side sensor is duff! I see I can buy individual sensors online but are they difficult to fit? Does the bumper have to be removed? Any help would be helpful.

DUNKS, unfortunately, yes, the bumper will have to be pulled. Of note, you have 2 different style connectors back there. You have ones that come straight out the back and then you have some that make a 90 degree turn. The 90 degree turn ones are in the middle of the bumper. The straight ones are on the ends. So, keep that in mind when ordering. Replacing is simple. I find it easiest to use 2 small flat blade screw drivers. You will slide one in on each side under the middle connector (do not go after the one in the bumper itself). You slide the screw drivers in to release the tabs and then you can use your thumb (or other suitable tool) to push the sensor out. Install is simply lining up the tabs with the clips and pushing it in. Twisting the sensor while it is in the holder results in about a 50% chance of breaking the sensor. Hence why I say to push from the outside.

If you need more info, let me know.

Thanks Thermo. I suspected as much, I did see that there are two sensors. Think I will get someone else to do the job. I am not good with plastic clips. Thanks again.
