hello. new here. had the mistress about 4 now and slowly getting her to her former glory.
however a new problem has arisen.
the passenger door won’t open.
the latches operate / function.
yet there’s no latch release to open the door. neither outside nor inside open the door.
so.. how do i remove the panel if the door won’t open?
do i need a car thief to open the door?
then when the door is open.. what next to fix the problem?
bit of a hindrance the door not opening.

charlie.

Hello mad dog,
a little more information about the car are always good. Yes the door panel must be removed. Just remove the driver's side panel and you'll see how it's mechanically constructed.
It looks like the microswitch in the door lock is preventing the door from opening. Most of the time, after several attempts, the door will open but will not open immediately after locking. This means that you have to remove the door lock and replace the microswitch. A matter that is very fiddly. Alternatively, a used lock.
