In the summer I'll get about 23.5 in about 80/20 city/freeway driving and about 30.5 in a full highway run. That is measured when I fill up. On mine the dropoff from the center display to actual seems to run about 6% or so. Overall, I was very pleased with the mileage after I got the car.

I'm at like 132 miles and a tick over half tank. I need to get my vacuum leak fixed ASAP it's killing my mileage.

Im getting about 130miles for just a tick over half a tank. and i noticed u have 2.5 petrol, i have 2.0D....!!!! but on a local run though

£30 worth of diesel at an average £1.7p per litre.
Which gives me approx 130 miles urban/local roads.
I do drive fast but not excEssively fast. I usually shift between 2500 and 3000 but quite often I will go up about 4000rpm. But I see people on this forum getting the same amount of MPG as me with their 2.5/3.0 petrol and i'm sure they dont drive extra slow cos on petrol you have to floor it as u get good torque on high revvs unlike the diesel where u get good torque at low revvs. But even still I'm sure I should be getting much more for occasionally driving fast but usually driving normal... Not like a bitch. I notice when i fill up and reset the meter, and drive very very efficiently It goes upto about 26 mpg but then after a while I can't take it because its just toooo slow moving off, constant gear changing and stuff like that and go back to normal, but even still I shouldnt be getting an average of 20mpg should I?

I got 20mpg in the city with my 8000lb powerstroke F250 lol. No, you should be getting better. 4k rpms in a diesel is a LOT. Thats more than the redline on my truck. I personally drive like a granny. I'm all about maximizing that economy lol. I'll have to hand calc my mileage when I finish this tank up. I cant believe i'm burning so much fuel due to my issue though

Yeah, the mileage I stated is measured. I reset the trip counter when I fill up and then see how far I've gone on that tank when I fill up. Then see how much gas I just pumped. Try and even use the smae pump if I can.
The highway mileage is for about 150 mile round trip between Milwaukee and O'Hare. Usually am going about 70, but there are some stretches where there is roda construction where you can only do about 50-60. The center display has gone to 33mpg more than once, but the 30.5 is accurate. That was in the summer though. I have to admit, I was surprised myself. I am pretty easy on the accelerator, but don't specifically worry about it. Having a manual helps a bit I would think as I stay in 5th gear. Would be nice if they would have put a 6th gear in there for cruising.

I get between 19-20mpg with suburban driving 25 miles outside of Philadelphia PA. Lots of stop and go, average speed limit is probably 35mph. The trip computer says my average speed is 23mph. When I first bought the X I was getting about 16mpg until I learned how to drive it for economy. And premium fuel usually pays for itself. If driving on the highway, regular will be fine, but under stop and go or hard acceleration you need premium fuel to make use of the higher performance timing table.
