Looks Great Jeremy! I tried to install the material on my bike parts today and I was a little impatient and ended up tearing the vinyl in a place where i had made a cut to make a fold. Wasted quite a bit of money as i now have to order more. Only wasted 2x2 Feet so still got another 2x2 to work with, but will only cover one of the two parts i need to do. I think I may just end up seeing if I can get a vinyl wrap place to do it for me.

Thanks. Yes, and you have to be careful with the heat using this stuff. I forgot to turn on my PC for the last pic - in case people were wondering what head unit I have :

Excellent work J. Have you thought of painting the stereo fascia black to blend in with the leather? Or you want to accent it?
The charcoal on the stereo/heater controls matches better than if it were black. The carbon vinyl is basically a charcoal weave - so I think it works. Plus, it will be tough to pull out the LCD screen to do it right and I'd lose the silkscreened F/C and power icon on the heater facia. I'll keep it so.

J, you're right. I think it was the flash/light reflection on the first group of photos. Still an awesome mod.

Yes, LOL. Both. I think there's a little too much cf, it's overkill. How about taking some pieces off ebay, spray painting them to match and leave half the cf, half painted?
I like the doors, though.

Thanks, but of all people, I wasn't expecting this from the X-Type Stig. I'll leave it though

The X Type Stig! Haha!

I think it came out great.. Do you have a link to the place you ordered from Jeremy? I want some of this 3M Di noc stuff but in a different color/pattern. All I can find on google is places that sell it in bulk..

If you dig on the Di-Noc posts, the sellers show other types. Just find what you want, then contact the seller.

www.stickercity.com has many colors, even has colors with a high gloss clearcoat... I just ordered some of that in black. I'm going to try and 'piano-black' my carbon fiber dash with it.

Curious how flat (void of orange peel) the glossy vinyl is applied now

In general I love all your mods. However, personally I like the x type stock interior. The workmanship looks great no question about that. The one area that can be improved (just my opinion) is the plastic console parts with a nicer material. A colleague had one covered with something that looked like leather and it looked nice. Was done by a custom shop in DC though.

The charcoal jag Momo shift knob would look nice too.

I probably would have said the same thing before I covered everything and didn't hate the wood. This one is nearly as polarizing as the fender side vents, so I know I'm doing things right.

I actually don't mind the charcoal metallic painted plastics. I think it cheapens it when people spray those flat black (like that guy who keeps posting multiple identical pictures of it every chance he gets). For me, the big debate was whether to leave the little facia with the heated seats buttons charcoal metallic or weave. I chose weave, but I may take that off.
