Question on maf sensor

On my ELM 327 wi fi scanner, there's a "dashboard" display that has a gauge for the readout of the MAF. It reads in "lb/min". On my X -type, it reads at around 45-48, whereas, on my wife's Hyundai, the same gauge (same scanner), reads out at over 80. I've already cleaned the heck out of the MAF, on the Jag, and never touched the one on the Hyundai. Is this an indication that I should perhaps replace the MAF? Or do they read different on different cars?

The lb/min is the amount of air flowing across the MAF. I don't think comparing 2 different engine types would give any usable results. The air flow intake would be a function of the length of the piston stroke while the intake valve is open. My guess would be that the wife's car needs the added air flow to make horsepower for the smaller engine.
If you are running poorly until it warms up, then i would say definitely vacuum leak. The usual culprits that will leak when cold and close up with heat are the rubber hose from the MAF, the PCV hose from the Cam cover to the intake.
If you still have the smooth PCV hose I would change it to the updated ribbed version. I would also check the underside of the MAF for cracks.
