Kasser, if you are looking to do some work and are worried about that, then I would say to just do the work and see if it comes in. The code was only required for a select few markets. Since you don't state where you are from, I am not sure if you are in one of those markets. If you do need the code, the sure-fire way is to simply stop by your local jaguar dealership with proof of ownership. They will then be able to give you the 4 digit code to your car.
If you so a search on this site for "radio code", there is a way to bypass the code, but I seem to recall that it doesn't always work based on the market that you are in.
