Great cosmetic mod for about $80.

The old one used to get horsehair dust everywhere - not anymore. Engine stays cleaner with the new liner, too.

Jeremy, is that a liner Gonzo made? I got one from him just this past month but haven't had the time to install it.

That is indeed the Gonzo/tbird/whatever-his-name-is hoodliner. It's a quality piece and if he made it without using some stamping machine, I'm impressed. The edges are perfect. I debated on how form-fitting I wanted to install it, and I left some air pockets to keep it kind of smooth. It actually looks better without direct sunlight hitting it (how the photo is).

Hey,

Engine Is clean enough for me to eat lunch on. Wish my Jag dealership didn't "throw away" my engine cover.

Headliner looks good, $80 seems just right for that quality judging by the eye. I dont have that foam piece above the leaper, parts seem to go MIA.

It's $85 for just the hood liner, $15 for the logo, and $13 for U.S. shipping... Comes out to $113.00... Just don't want you to get a surprise when you put a a phone call to Gonzo.

Oh wow, I was quoting the price based off his blog... That's a big save for the ones who want to jump on a deal like that! Save you almost $30~! only 3 days left on the sale! Nice catch

Wow. Nice bay. I'm planning on getting one of those liners and doing the leaper without the word as well.

How hard was it to install?

Both in this forum.
I just bought (today) the hoodliner....search was for headliner...oops, and CAI brought up nothing and apparently I'm not intuitive enough for a simple Intake search.
Thanks again, I might do the intake just for the bling factor, I realize it's not for a performance mod. Mind you if I wanted performance I wouldn't have bought an Estate model for sure and likely not an X type. V8 S type has more go.

Contact Gonzo, say you're from the forum, it's 65 for the liner, 15.00 for the decal, and free shipping.

Love the air intake. Where did you get it? How does it perform, and how much was it. Great, clean engine rea

Your engine bay looks pretty nice. Do you use any products to keep it clean?

Sorry to bump up a 2-month-old post, but I'm a member here too!

For the special pricing you must indicate that you're a member of this forum. They're on sale on the 'Bay as well but after a while it'll revert back to usual pricing (on the 'Bay that is - forum member pricing is for LIFE). Don't forget to read the hoodliner page at www.hoodliners.net - it forwards to the blog page.

ADDED: Here are the current Jaguar models available, more on the way as owners request them (and they help with templates!!):

1977 to 1996 Jaguar XJ-S V-6, V-12

1986 to 1994 Jaguar XJ-6, XJ-12 and Vanden Plas

2003 to 2007 Jaguar XJ-6, XJ-8 and Vanden Plas

2002 to 2008 Jaguar X-Type

2005 to 2008 Jaguar S-Type
