Default Rattling noise at neutral/idle with clutch engaged

X-type 2004 2.5 awd, 75k miles.

So one day I was driving and revved it pretty high in 2nd gear. I let it engine break a little before I shifted it into 3rd, but right before i did i noticed the clutch wasnt going up all the way. After a few seconds it slowly came back up. When this happened the clutch was very stiff. Happened for a while afterwards usually if I punched it wot/high rev in 2nd.

That went away as far as I can tell, but now I get a rattling noise when the clutch is engaged in neutral. If I press down on the clutch pedal (disengage the clutch) the rattling goes away. If I put my foot down on the pedal slightly (where it begins to disengage) I can actually feel the the rattling in the pedal. It's not that loud right now, but noticeable.

I'm quite familiar with how clutches work and the bearings involved as I've done a few clutch replacements on my own. I just dont know what specifically could be causing this problem. Any input on my situation is much appreciated, thank you advance!
