Remote control (key fob) do not working - HELP :(
Hi,I have a problem opening the car with the remote control - key fob. Opening with the key (inserting it into the door lock) works properly. There is a lack of communication between the remote control (key fob) and the car. What I've already done:
- all 3 remote controls work properly, have a good battery, buttons work. Checked at a professional point.
- the comfort module was replaced with another, functional one to be sure.
- the latch in the ignition lock closes, it has been cleaned
- when programming the key I hear "BIMP" but I don't hear the acceptance sound afterwards. There is no signal from the remote control to the car.
- disconnecting the battery for an hour did not help.
- immobilizer works fine, opens all doors. After locking the car, the red LED flashes.
- ATTENTION! Opening with the remote control (key fob) stopped working when I picked up the car from the upholsterer. The upholsterer replaced the headliner. Is there any module there? Maybe he damaged something?
Questions:
1. Where is the remote control signal receiver?
2. Will someone help me? If I can, I'll buy vodka.
Jaguar X-Type (x400) 3.0l, 2005. Version Estate (Wagon).

The RF module is in the roof console, so it is likely that something there has not been fully plugged back in during reassembly after headliner replaced.
There is a 3 pin plug that connects to the RF unit.
Also check you haven't had F10 (15A) fail in the passenger compartment fuse box. If the Orange wire to that plug has been chaffed or pinched, then you may have had a short and lost this fuse.
Good luck
