Default Replacement 17" wheels for X-Type

Hello all. I'm new to the forums (hello). I have read through all of the wheel/tire forums. I'm now on my 3rd broken Cayman 17" OEM wheel. Jaguar is considering giving me a new set of 4. However, if I don't get those I'm going to look for an aftermarket wheel. For a 17" x 7.5" wheel, 5x108, what does the offset range need to be. Is it the same for a 17" x 8" wheel? The only one that I know works FOR SURE is the Coventry Hornet (which I'm not a huge fan of). The Sport Edition CD is listed as 17x7.5 / 5x108 / +42...does that work?
Thanks for any input...I don't want bigger wheels...just 17" that won't break and bend (Indiana has a LOT of pot holes...you can't avoid them all).

Default RE: Replacement 17" wheels for X-Type

Welcome to my world.

I now have had 4 bent/cracked Aguila's.

If you read a few posts you will come accross my thread "Cracked and Bent Aguilas," which has all the infomation you need.

Due diligence in reading the FAQ will give you all the answers, but I summarized them in my post looking for help as well.

I have yet to buy mine, but will be shortly after I verify that Jaguar will not cover the rims again. I am most likely purchasing "winter" by momo for my wife's x.

here is the link to my thread https://www.jaguarforums.com/m_84773/tm.htm

Good luck!
