Replacing my headlight

Replacing my headlight
I have a burnt out Driver's side headlight, so I need to replace and I have a few questions.
1. What would be the longest lasting replacement bulb.
2. What is the proper procedure? I know some people have mentioned having to take the bumper off, how do I do that?
3. Anything else I need to know?

You don't need to remove bumper cover, but for the drivers side you might want to loosen up the battery box and slide it to the rear a little to give you more room to get to the back of the head light. It's a pretty tight fit with the battery in place.

compdude97, if you have HIDs, you can tell 2 different ways. The easiest one is to open the driver's door and look near the hinge. You will see a large silver sticker (about 3x4") that says something to the effect of "This car is equipped with HID lights". The other way to check is when you turn on the headlights, standard halogen bulbs will be bright instantly. HID bulbs require a few seconds to get up to temp. So, you will see the HID bulbs turn on, then their light will intensify over the next second or 2.
As for changing out the bulb itself, the easiest way is to simply slide the battery box back a little bit. You will need to loosen up two 10mm nuts to allow you to do this. Just be careful when you are in there. If you apply too much pressure, you can break the supports for the lens of the headlight assembly which will cause your light(s) to shine up towards the sky, making them effectively useless.
If you need more info, let me know.
