Retrofitting front PDC on a late model (09) X-type with only rear PDC
Hi there, first time poster here. I own a 2009 jaguar x type and the car has had some major damage to the front recently. In order to repair all the damage to the front of the vehicle I needed to replace:
Bonnet
Both Guards
Headlights
Bumper
Condensor
Radiator and rad support
As I live in Australia and jaguar parts extremely costly, I purchased a 2nd x type wreck with rear damage to use as a donor car.
Now, I can salvage all the parts that I need from the 2007 wreck to fix my 2009, with the exception of the facelifted bumper bar.
I have been trying to find someone in the UK who is willing to ship a facelifted bumper to Australia, I have had no luck with this but what I have noted is that most of the bumpers in the UK have the front PDC holes. Which has lead me to starting this thread; is the PDC module in these cars designed in a way that makes retrofitting front PDC as easy as installing the 4 sensors with their respective wiring and plugging them into the existing computer or is it more complicated than that.
Ps if anybody knows any people or websites where I can source a facelift bumper from I would really really appreciate it.

You could try many of the breakers here but the shipping costs may be prohibitive.
Search Ebay UK for the breakers
This site is useful for obtaining details of all the various parts

Thank you for the link, I have enquired about the postage cost for the bumper, waiting for a response from them now.
