Rim offset question

iownme, the 20mm is going to stick out farther than the 40mm offset. The question comes whether you will get tire rub with the 20mm offset rims. Also keep in mind that the 20mm rims are going to put more stress on the hub assemblies as the tire stresses will not be inline with the hub bearing any more. There will be more of a twisting effect (ie, the top of the tire is going to want to pull out to the side more). Will this cause the hub to fail in 1,000 miles? Probably not. Shorten its life by say 30K miles (from say 100,000 miles to 70,000 miles), probably a good chance.

I'll probably go with the 40mm just to be "safe" (or old..lol)
