Hi guys, I'm looking at my rims at the moment.
I have the Sport 17" on at the moment and really like them, had them refurbed and lookin good..........then, she kerbed them[&:]
I'm lookin to buy another set at the moment to replace one or two and also the space saver in the boot.
While lookin I've seen some really nice rims out there, some on their own and some as packages.
I really like the one below and wondered what your thoughts were?
I know they show 4 stud arrangement, but they would be supplied with the 5 stud arrangement and will fill the X no problem

£320 delivered for a set of 4 or £500 delivered c/w tyres

I like chrome/polished rims but since your car is a dechromed version this might look good .
I think you should get a kerb damage proof rims as welllol (if there is such a model )

Jim, I really like those are they 17s or 18s?
The fact that you dont have chrome wont affect how they look on your car as just about every Jag has silver wheels.
The price is a steal you could probably sell your existing Sport wheels one at a time to recoup most of it as there are loads of owners wanting a full size spare.

Thanks Buck....they are 17's but they also do 18's and 19's in the same style.
I think its a pretty good deal too....If you wanna know more please let me know and I'll find the link for you mate.
As for me?
Well, as it happens I've just won a bid on Ebay for a set of 4 17" Sport alloys to match the ones on my car c/w tyres ( Michelins ) that have 4-5 mm tread left on them. There are some slight scuff marks on them, nothing too major. I want to refurb them one at a time and have a complete "new" set on the car with the others to be refurbed too. It means I'll also have a full size alloy spare too
I think an absolute steal for £251
Jaguarxtypealloys

The rim itself was £280 new from Jaguar[&:][&:]

I like those Jim! Kind of be hard to clean compared to stock but if you keep em real clean they wont get dirty! I'd get them in 18's though or 19's...but for you get the 18's! They'd look nice and almost stock for sure...

I want these!!!

It says "excite" on the centre cap.....try googling it for suppliers or their direct website.

can we use any rim that fits? I thought I read somewhere that the x was "hub centric" and you needed special rims. is this true? got the sport with factory 17's and would like to change styles while I try refurbing the old ones

You don't NEED hubcentric rims, but it is recommended. With hubcentric rims, the hub gets all the abuse when hitting a pot-hole instead of lugs that can brake under hard impact. It's also a safety feature in the even of an accident. Less of a chance of a rim taking off flying on impact.
