Default Sat/Nav Help Needed Please!!

Hey guys this has been the best site to find my answers and hoping you guys could help me out one more time. I have an 04 X-Type Sport with the Premium Alpine audio and Sat Nav. A little while back I jumped into my car and the Nav screen would not display anything. I was seeing error codes of 50, 51, and C1 showing up. Did a little research and it all pointed to that my DVD reader went belly up. I believe this to be true because the DVD reader would not eject the Nav DVD and wouldn't respond to anything. This fault also prevents me from being able to control my climate controls. Anyways I removed the DVD reader and got a replacement installed but still getting the same errors. My question is my new DVD reader compatible with my system or do I need an exact replacement? Or am I possibly looking at an even bigger problem than just the DVD reader?

Old DVD reader was part number: 2R83 10E887 AD
New DVD read part number: 2R83 10E887 AB (exact replacement could not be found and this was the next closest thing)
Error codes that display are 50, 51, C1

I also had to purchase a new optical lead link cuz I broke a connector while removing the first DVD player. The part number for the lead link is C2S50387. That lead link is supposed to go to an 08 X Type system but it is the correct lead link for my setup so I'm confused on all of it. I'm hoping you guys just say you need the exact replacement cuz if it's anything more than that I'm not sure it's worth the money to replace everything. Any and all help or suggestions are appreciated!!

Have you tried a different disc?

A lot of the time these faults relate to the software not loading

I haven't tried a different disc yet. Now thinking back on it I didn't even try to install the disc in the new reader. I just saw the same error codes so assumed it was still an issue. I'll get it hooked back up and try again with the disc this time and will relay the results
