Default Sat nav low fuel warning

Hi ive had my x type for about 2 years now, when i checked it out at the dealers before i bought it when i turned on the ignition the fuel gauge was in the red, and the built in sat nav came on an a voice said you are low on fuel follow indicated route to fuel station etc, since then ive tried going down to the fuel warning light comes on indicating 50 odd miles left but i cant get the voice again, was i imagining it, i have replaced the sat nav disc for a updated version would that have anything to do with it

Not imagining it... Happened on mine too, but I think I was at less than 20 miles to empty which really isn't too good on your car. So this is a cool feature, but eally just for safety

You need to go into the SatNav options, and select the low fuel warning on. (this is the same menu as where you can select directions in the message center). Also, you need to have the voice guidance turned on, if you want to hear the voice at the low fuel alert...worked with my 2010 disc no problems.

I think the 2010 disk has different options cause I have never seen options for the low fuel on my 02, and I have looked. But nigel might have those options seeing as he has an updated disk
