As some of you well know, I have an '03 X-Type. No navigation. I purchased Sirius and want to intall the FM Modulator directly into the antenna. Has anyone done this in the states? Are there any additional adaptors I may need. Funny thing is, Best Buy won't even touch it. I am pretty familiar with audio installs so I want to do this myself. Thanks.

Nothing else is required if you have the FM Modulator. I don't like the SQ FM modulators produce, so I'm in the process of purchasing a ton of new ICE equipment. Pioneer AVIC-D2, all new door speakers & amp, XM tuner, and a few other items. The stock system sounds awful.
The radio isn't hard to remove, but you'll need a kit obviously, and the only company that makes one is Nexxia (sp?).

you do need to buy a set of antenna adapters if you want to use a wired fm modulator. the jag has the same antenna style as a vw or bmw (square connection, not round) and fm modulators (at least here in the states) use the typical round connections. you should be able to get it at a local mobile audio shop for under $30 for both cables.
