Default Size of Tail gate opening on X-type estate

Hi All,
Can anyone help me please.
I'm thinking of buying a Jaguar X-type estate but need to find out if it will suit my practicle needs.
I'm trying to find out the size of the boot or tail gate opening of the X-type estate. The jaguar specs I downloaded don't make it very clear and so I thought I would ask here.
What I need to know is the distance between the floor of the boot and the top where the door hinges up.
Basically can I slide a Pinball table into the boot.
Does anyone have these measurements or is it possible for someone to find out for me?
It seems that most of the other similar size estates are not big enough and the only choice I have so far is the VW PAssat Estate.
Many thanks,
Andrew

I'll check when I get home, but if you're thinking with the legs on definately not. I'm guessing its about a meter.

Cheers, thanks for the reply.
Hee Hee. I was of course talking with the pinball legs removed and the head folded down.
I also need to throw in 2 kiddies bicycles from time to time (not at the same time as the pinball) and it's amazing to find that now I'm looking at estates how impractible some of them are.
I need an height of at around 30" (75cm) which the VW Passat has.
The Audi A4, A6 and BMW 3 series estates all come in around 28" (71cm)
I would measure it myself if I knew anybody with an X-type.
Thanks Again,
Andrew

Sorry, me again, just to make sure I am talking about the verticle distance from the floor to the lowest part of the back door opening.

Wow, I'm surprised, from the floor to the bottom of the top opening, if that makes sense is a whopping 26.5 inches. I would have thought it was a lot bigger, it's an optical illusion because the back opens on an angle giving the appearance of a huge cavernous rear.

Thanks for that.
Yes, I was surprised by that too when I was measuring other cars.
Unfortunately it's a trade off between looks and practability.
I can always remove the head from the pinball if I ever needed moving it somewhere but I was hoping not to do that. It just would have been nice if the X-type could have ticked all the boxes.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Many thanks.
Andrew
