Slow to warm up
Hi All
I have a 2.0l. Going to and from work is 6 miles mostly 30 and 40mph and a couple of mins at 50 takes about 20 mins in total. A couple of weeks ago when the snow flake was on, the temp gauge would only get just past the blue. Now the outside temp is around 11 or 12 c it will just get up to just short of half way, unless I have the heater on then it may just get a quarter way up. Is this what everyone else finds or should I be changing the oil and water thermostat?
Also not sure if it has anything to do with it, but when getting up to say 3000rpm in 2nd then dipping the clutch to change up the rpm is very slow to drop back to 1000 / 1200 but hangs for a few seconds around 2000. This seems to be worst until normal operating temp has been reached. Any thoughts gladly received.
