Wow... I've had so many...
Lately...
1992 Ford Bronco 5.8. Bought it new. When gas was under $1 a gallon!
2002 Mustang GT 5 speed (piece of crap car! Wouldn't go around a corner!)
1998 Volvo S90. Wonderful car. Gave it to my son to take to college.
My wife has had a selection of family Fords. Windstar, Explorer, Flex. Now she has an Escape. Great to haul the kids, and the groceries.
I have a 2002 X-Type. My second Jag. I had a 1974 XJ6 back in the UK in another life time! The thing used more oil than gas! But the X-Type is great. Not sure how long I'll keep it. Already eyeing a later model XJ8!

I was driving a lifted 97 Ford Expedition (still have it). It was my toy and it was built to do 4x4ing. Still streetable, but with the cost of gas going up, i figured I was due for a newer car anyways and since i was retiring (for the first time), I was going to get something nicer. I was really after an XJ, but in my area there were very few and the ones that were for sale were for way too much. So, I found an X-Type and bought it. Granted, shortly there after I found out I could have gotten my XJ for a little more than what I paid for the X-Type with a little bit of work. Oh well, there is the next jag to fix that issue. As for my significant other, they go through cars like water. So, I have a laundry list of those cars. Most are your mid size american sedans. Nothing fancy. Things like a Ford Fusion and a Chevy Cobalt.

P.S. If you know someone looking for a lifted Expedition, let me know. Mine is for sale and the first $5000 gets the truck. I have over $10K in just suspension/gears/tires in the truck. You will be the only owner I know of that has an expedition on 37's and only 4" of lift. The look has been attempted to be duplicated, but no one can see to make it work but me. He he he he.

My cars:
1. 1997 BMW 325i - sold 2001
2. 2001 Acura Integra GSR (sedan) - sold 2004
3. 2004 Acura TL - sold 2007
4. 2006 Mercedes Benz C280 4 Matic - sold 2010
5. 2007 Jaguar X Type - still have..

The X Type is the most beautiful on the outside and I like the minimal inside design. But it is also the most expensive to keep running in tip top shape. The fit and finish is pretty good. Next only to the TL, but better than the Benz C class or the BMW 3 series.

Just before buying the X-Type I sold a Porsche 924 Le Mans 1980 so I needed something to at least partially make up for the loss.

1st car = 1960 "Squarebird" Ford Thunderbird w/very rare manual transmission.

1959 Austin Healey Mk III
1966 Ford Mustang "pony edition"
1971 Pontiac Firebird Esprit
1974 Ford Mustang
1979 Chevrolet Corvette L82
From 1968 to 1990(?) Had MANY U.S. made cars and trucks, Fords, Dodges, Pontiacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles.
Began leasing and buying Asian and European cars and have never looked back since.

THE WORST purchase and car I ever bought (I'm ashamed to even admit this one) = a Renault LeCar (*hangs head & mumbles).

Car before the X-type was (shudder) a Toyota Corolla.
I went through two of those crap-boxes (that's what marriage and kids does to ya!)
Before that I had a 1996 Mazda 626 (boring!)
And before that I had a delightful 1986 Mazda 626 GT, which was my first new car.
I learned to drive in my Dad's RX-3 and RX-4's with Wankels - those were a blast.

Love my X-type, and my XJR, so it looks like it's Jaguars from here on out.

Default LAST CAR

I have owned 19 cars in my lifetime some good some bad. My last one was British built ROVER CON SE TOURER/ESTATE with a 2ltr BMW diesel engine. Fabulous spec, amazing comfort, Spoilt by lack of power "only 112 bhp" heavy clutch and unimpressive road holding. Did over 100,000 miles with it then spotted the X Type.

By the way I can get 62mpg with the X Type but average is around 38.

Enjoying our diesels whilst the guvmint allows us to keep them.

I had a variety of BMW 3-series convertibles.
I loved my XK8 the best by far.
I recently traded it in for an F-Type convertible.
Love the F-type, Still miss my beautiful XK8 a lot. Wish I could have kept both.

1. 1999 Fiat Punto
2. 2000 BMW 318i
3. 2008 VW Beetle
4. 2008 VW Jetta 2.5 S
5. 2011 VW Jetta 2.5 SE
6. Jaguar X-type 3.0

I should point out that I moved from the UK to the US in 2008 and VW offered great deals for foreign nationals with zero credit.

I've only sole owned 4 cars since my divorce (about a dozen co-owned and all crap)

1st 92 Ford Escort 1.1 or 1.3 I think
2nd 99 Nissan Primera 2.0
3rd 2002 Kia Magentis 2.5 V6 - very nice car that lasted nearly 10 years (I think it's an Optima in the US)
Now a 2001 3.0 X Type
