Default Speedo, Cruise work fine when cold, fail when warmed up

I just picked up a 2005 Nobility (that is, it's a second Estate). Decent shape, especially for having 150K miles.

As the subject line says, the speedo and cruise work fine when the car is icy cold, but after the car interior has warmed up a while, no worky.

I'm figuring this has something to do with the ABS module.

Where IS the ABS module, and how do I get to it to R&R?

Is there any difference between the modules from a 2002 Sedan and a 2005 Estate?

Sone, I would be suspecting a broken solder joint on your instrument cluster leading to what you are seeing. The ABS module is in the front right of the car, by the front passenger wheel. You can do a little test and start the car on a cold day and leave the interior heat off. If the problem arises again, then it is the ABS module (as it would be subjected to the heat of the engine. If it doesn't come back, then it proves it is still in the cold part of the car which would point to the instrument cluster.

Checked the OBD, I have codes C1165 and C1175, rear wheel sensor failures. I doubt that both would be intermittent, so even more I suspect te ABS module.

Could be a dry joint on the module. Or a wiring issue if there's a common part (see the Elec Guide, it even shows splices).
