Speedometer Jumps To 150 Or Higher
For about a year, my speedometer has jumped to around 150 and stuck there until reset. After resetting, It would work properly for a few weeks. Lately, that has become a few days, and now it will no longer rest. It is now stuck at 150. Any help would be appreciated.

denshiff, from the sounds of things, the servo that is controlling your speedometer has failed. Unfortunately, the only fix for this is to either get a new instrument cluster (read up on this, it is not a simple swap and go thing). The other option is to find a place that will take your instrument cluster and repair it. But, this will keep you from driving your car for a week or two as the shop repairs it.
Keep in mind that your instrument cluster is tied to the ECU and these 2 devices work together to provide the security for the car. They are checking the codes built into the key. If the instrument cluster is not properly programmed, it will cause the security to fail and therefore, your car will not start. Now, this can be overcome by having a dealership level diagnostic computer as it can go in and tell the car that the instrument cluster has been replaced and will program in the correct data to make it work. But, these computers are not necessarily cheap and in this case, it may be cheaper to let a shop replace the instrument cluster and program it than to buy the computer.
