Sportwagon rear center seatbelt stuck in fully extended (not retracting) pos.
Need instructions on how to remove the center seatbelt. The JTIS Version that I have doesn't have the instrcutions for the removal form a X-type wagon, only for a sedan. It's also a 2005 and the Jtis only goes to 2004.5
I only found one other posting similar to mine where the interlock might come into play if the seat back is not properly locked. I have checked this and it's not the issue. Apparently, the interlock prevents the belts from extending (not retracting). I've also tried to jiggle it free while driving and also while applying breaks hard and accelerating just to see if it can be freed but none of these worked.
I think a new one is in order but the seatbelt retactor is mounted in the center rear seat back not the rear deck like on the sedans. I tried to remove the seat back cover but I'm afraid of ruining it. I would really appreciate if someone would post the detailed instructions or is willing to detail it out for me.
Thanks in advance
