Having done a search and not found a definitive answer is the newer type of steering wheel plug and play with the the older type.

My car is MY04 with stereo and cruise control on the wheel.

The reason for asking is the air bag is curling up at the edges and it is almost the same price for a complete newer type wheel with airbag than just the airbag for the old type.

 

i have the same question as I would like to switch my older type of steering wheel for the 2005+ one with audio/cruise on wheel. BTW, where do you get your new one?

 

I've got a used one complete with clock spring etc from Ebay for £75
