Default Still here

Got an email message from a member the other day checking up on me...

Yes, still very much alive and still have my X-Type.

Recovery from the liver transplant had been a drawn-out affair. I have something called Hepatorenal Syndome, so even thoughwe've taken care of the "hepato" side, the "renal" side still has me in kidney failure (between stage 4 and stage 5, actually), not on dialysis yet, but my son still is...he is 17 now. I'm slowly getting sorted. My 70-day bout with the plague has slowed me down some.

Anyway, the Jag is resident at my mechanic's, in good care. Mechanically, she's tops; he's replacing the headliner now. All the fluids will need to be changed, and we'll need to flush out the old fuel and give her a fresh batch. Probably not a bad idea to turn the rotors to take off the rust. They are new, so no need to replace them.

I send my oil to the lab every so often...they said the synthetic in the crankcase was still fine, but we just changed it, two years out. She is started and moved every so often to keep her oiled up.

Looking forward to getting her out. Since I'll seldom be driving, I think that we'll get some "classic" tags for her.

I hope everybody else is well!

Cheers!
