When I try to take off from astop in my Xtype the car seems to be in higher gear and has trouble accelerating from the stop. It also appears that when you go from drive to say reverse when the car is stopped it takes a bit of time to get in to reverse and the car is still sluggish when it goes into drive.
Any idea??????

When shifting from park to reverse is it normal to hear a clunk sound? never noticed it before but now i do. I have a year warrenty on this tranny after replacing it last december. is this something i should have checked or normal?

My 2003 X-type started CLUNKING while backing out of the garage. I noticed that there was also a low speed noise that sounded like it was from the right front. This was all LAST week. Now my car is up on jacks in my garage, with the transfer case out (only have 59,500 miles on the car). There are about 6 bearings that are damaged from one of the roller bearings insde the case that failed. As the story goes, there was ONLY about one cup of DIRTY METAL LACED oil that was inside the case.
I am now having trouble finding the bearings to rebuild my t-case. I have located one guy in England, so far. If anyone knows where I can find the CR-0499, let me know!
