Hey everyone,

I have been reading previous posts but not sure if this is a real problem with my Jag. I have an '02 X-type 2.5 .

Whenever I have the Sunroof in the tilt position and I try to close it, it takes 2 tries to close it because it will close than reopen back to the tilt position. After I press the close button again, it will eventually close. Is this normal?

Sounds like it is a bit stiff and the device that stop you trapping small children in the roof is making it bounce back, like the windows. I find my windows bounce back sometimes, but I think that is if I 'ping' the switch and that bounces if you get what I mean.

I try to clean out the sunroof area and put some lube as well.

Its not a big deal just more of an annoyance.

 

Don't forget some WD50 ....Emmm what was that ? Yeah WD40 . It might work too

it takes 3 tries...it seems 3rd time is a charm
but it only happens when driving fast for me
