Taillight bulb out, but brakes, reverse work

TD26, try removing the back plate to the tail lights, removing the bulb in question and then using a pencil, take the eraser and rub all the electrical connections really good. Concentrate on the two at the bottom (don't need to worry so much about the one on the side). This will help remove any corrosion that may have built up there.
If that don't fix your issue, then you will need to pull out a multimeter to do some checks. How you feel about using a multimeter? I can step you through the rest of the things from there.
Not to ask a silly question, but did you get the correct bulb for the location. The wrong style bulb can lead to some interesting conditions.
