Thank you Thermo!
Wow!! 😎👍⚡️💥🚀 Thank You, Thank You!!!
I just posted a question 2 minutes ago and I have ALREADY received an Amazing and Very Detailed reply from Member THERMO. This forum is AWSOME!!!
The mechanic says that he will have to heat with a torch to remove the bolts & will likely Destroy the rubber bushings while doing so! Is there a specific name for the bushings and would yo happen to know the part #??
Thanks again to THERMO & Jaguar Forums!! Cheers from Larry 🇨🇦

Larry, unfortunately, the bushings are considered part of the lower arm. So, they are not sold separately. It may be possible to go through an accessory dealer (a company like Energy Suspensions for example) to get new polyurethane bushings to replace the ones the mechanic will end up destroying.
I would make sure that you can get the bushings that way before he destroys the bushing and then you find out that you can't get the bushings and are now forced to get a whole lower arm.

Thanks again Thermo! Do you think that the mechanic has told me that it is necessary to replace the Control Arm because he broke the Camber bolt and knows he will destroy the bushing trying to remove the broken bolt? Is it necessary to heat it with a torch to remove the broken bolt or do you think I am being taken advantage of because I own a Jaguar automobile and he sees $$$?

Larry, I think he is taking advantage of you personally. If the bolt is broken off, that would imply that there is a straight shaft that can be pushed through the opening. He should be able to use say a long punch and a hammer to push the bolt out. The other option is he can use an impact hammer with a long punch attachment and push it out that way. Should be no need to heat it up. Granted, not knowing exactly how the bolt broke, hard to make a 100% certainty in the assessment.

Thank You Very Much Once Again!! I really appreciate your opinion and your knowledge! I thought that may be the case, but I wasn't sure how the camber bolts are held inside the control arms? I assumed they threaded in? He broke the head of the bolt off and mig welded it in place. On the other side it looks like the bolts are welded to the offset washers so I wasn't sure if they could be hammered out or twisted out? Can you confirm which it is? Thanks again for all of your help!! What great support!! Larry.

Thank you for all of your insightful help, honest opinions and last but not least, your wonderful guidance and friendship!!! I have never gone to a forum like this ever before and I have two thoughts about that. I wish I had visited a forum earlier and finally, I honestly don't think that many others would have been as welcoming and extremely helpful. Jaguar Owners are most certainly a PASSIONATE & KNOWLEDGEABLE GROUP OF PEOPLE!!! So, Thank you once again Chris, THERMO!!! Cheers, Larry
