Which Of These Snow Tires/Rims Should I Buy?
This has been a tough search, looking for a winter wheel setup.
I live in a small town, and any search is strictly done online, and then
I'll drive about 2 hours to see the wheels.
Option 1 are Blizzak snow tires, 205/55-16.
Tires were mfg in Dec.2011, wheels are from a 2004 Taurus.
Seller is a used car dealer, and they will test fit the wheels, mount
and balance.
Option 2 are some old Enkei wheels that were used on a Ford Focus.
Tires are a bit big, 205/60-16, which are over the 3% size difference
safety factor. Tires are almost new Michelin X Ice.
One wheel had a crack, and was professionally repaired at a cost of $125.
Option 3 came off a 4.2 S type R. They are Winter SnowSport Pirelli's,
size is 225-55-16. I think they are too wide and may rub, but a great
looking pkg.
I'm leaning towards Option 1. The seller is a dealer, who has agreed to a
test drive to ensure proper fitment and balance.
Any opinions would be great, as I'm driving down to Toronto on Monday to
check out my options.

If the price is the same for all of the options, then I would personally go with the Blizzaks. The thing that scares me about option 2 is that repaired wheels that aren't repaired too well can crack at lower temperatures. Option 3 shouldn't rub on your xtype. I rub with my winter setup (Pilot Alpin PA3 225/40/18 on 18" stern st15 wheels with a load of backspacing.)

Not option 2 as the Focus wheel is likely 4 x 108
Not option 3 as the tires will be too big

I went with Option 1.
The Blizzaks were mfg'd in week 38/2011, which is pretty new for used tires.
The wheels were in great shape ... I got them home and put Jaguar stickers on the
center caps.
We raised the front end and test fitted one tire for brake clearance and fender rub.
I'm confident, and at $480 for the pkge, it seemed to be solid value.
Two of the tires were at 10/32ds, two were at 7/32nds.
Obviously, they came off a FWD Taurus.
I'll put the almost new rubber on the front to even out the wear ... I drive about 5000 klms per year total, so these should last me awhile.
