Thump when shifting into reverse

Hi guys,
I've noticed when I shift into reverse I get a "THUMP!" sound from my car. I can feel it and hear it. Sometimes it's harsher than other times.
I was wondering what could be causing this issue? Could a transmission fluid change help? It's an auto 3.0.
Thanks!

A lot of times, this is related to play in the rear drive shaft u-joints. If you can, with the aide of a second person, shift the car in and out of reverse and see if you can spot where the slop is in the driveshaft. But, odds are, you are going to spot it either in the rear driveshaft or in one of the CV joints. But then, when a CV joint starts to go, it tends to click at all speeds in reverse first though.
I don't think a fluid change is going to help anything.
