Hey guys been away for a while...grandpa is in the hospital getting triple bypass heart sugery or coronary artery bypass surgery for the likes of people wanting me to give a more medical term!

Anyways I like that car jim! I'd love the new mondeo too though but that one you had a post on from ebay was sweet. I wish we could get nice stuff like that here! I like the new pontiac g8 though that looks cool as well as the new malibu but ford does put out some crappy vehicles here in the u.s. Nothing compared to what you guys have from ford! Don't get me wrong I love their trucks and suvs and I love the terminator but since the terminator they only make the shelby which is 50grand instead of 34 with the mystic paint and convertible top.

Ancient you should look into diesel modification for turbo diesels here in the states! A simple computer adds soooo much power. As jim stated the torque is what pretty much goes crazy on simple modifications! Take for instance an exhaust modification in making the tubing bigger the trucks get wayyy more power and even get better on gas???? Bulldog makes some good stuff for the turbo diesels..LINK
That link will show you the increases...for ford up to 175 lb ft. torque and up to 125 hp...thats just with the programmer that you buy! Not to mention you could add some propane into the mix and your talking nos for the diesel! LINK
Banks has another computer/tuner for the diesel trucks...LINK

Hey ancient this one's for you!!! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!! LINKY!!!

I remember on top gear they had an old ( and I mean old ) VW Golf 1.9d and they fitted NOS and raced it against a Lotus I think it was. A newer lighter fast fast car.
Guess who left who for dead?

It wasn't the Lotus
They reckoned the stronger diesel engine would take more punishment as well, so it was all good!

Sweet! What other 'cool' cars have you driven? Any exotics?

modded boosted MR2??? Do tell :drool"
We are an insurance approved bodyshop.Unfortunately there arent many exotics owned or driven by the general public in our catchment area so we rarely get these in.Out of the 40 or so cars we fix every week the most exotic one in the last 6 months was an Aston Martin DB9 but I never got todrive that one unfortunately.Today the most exotic car I drove was a Merc C810Kompressor Auto but it did nothing for me.Tomorrow its a 1.4 VW Lupo owned by a Miss who is about 22 years oldso I volunteered to take it back (via McDonalds) and also a huge LWB Ford Transit van[:@]should be finished tomorrow.
Re the MR2 Turbo see here (some Jag pics on there too)

I'm only gonna have my car a little longer too. But it was a good car. It's going to my mom/sister this Spring so it will still be in the household so I can drive it once in a while if I want.

I didn't read much, just the first two posts. But let me jsut say, I love how JIm said he wanted to trade in, save a little money, and get a car with better milage. And in response Benz remarks he should trade in, buy a much more expensive car that gets worse milage. Some people really know what to say at the right time, lol.

Yea I try getting on here as much as possible, but with work and school and taking care of the house and the lady friends, it gets hard. WHat really made me come back was the car trouble, which I guess you didn't read about, and I figure if i asked a question, I should keep posting more, or I would be like the one posters.

What are you talking about one poster 93? You've been around for a while...more like you didn't want to pull a racer!

Never knew they used nos in diesel I've always seen some propane powered that were burning the swampers off of the 4x4 truck! Sweet either way!

It's not the one post wonders that bother me its the people that fake being a jag fan and one problem later hate jag...and than to top it off say a car company with a worse track record as being a better car!
