My key will lock my doors but the lights do not flash as they did when I bought the car. The horn does not sound either, I never know if the key worked unless I am close enough to hear it . What is the problem, and has this happened to anyone else?

open and close the hood, trunk and all 4 door firmly a couple times. if its not honking it is not arming the alarm because a sensor is telling it that its open.
i cant remember if a door is open if the lights will not flash at all or flash more...try it with a door open and see if it does the same thing.
you may have a faulty door sensor.
