TV in motion, and Navigation ???
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to "adjust" my TV so it do NOT go off while the vehicle is in motion? It is a pain in the butt everytime the car goes over 5 kph the screen disappears and a message stating it is dangerous to view "whilst" the vehicle is in motion.
Also if I adjust my monitor will it effect my Navigation?
Finally does anyone know where I can buy a updated DVD for my Navigation? I need a Japanese one, cause I'm in Japan.
The dealer quoted me a price of $300, which is like "Damn" costly.
Anyone know of a cheaper one??
Thanx

Thanx for the info
Jimmy,
Yeah , I know that but it sucks everytime I move it goes off and then once you stop you have to push the onscreen button to view then move 20 ft goes off, stop push the button back on, then move 20ft...you get the picture. Traffic in Japan is long and slow, it's not like the States. I mean the speed limit here on main roads is 60kph and that's when there is no traffic now imagine bumper to bumper traffic and how annoying it is having to touch a button every 2 minutes. I don't watch it when I drive. It's mainly for my girlfriend when we ride together. It only picks up Japanese TV and well my Japanese is not that good. Thanks for the site though.
Happy driving!
ps sooooo do you know how to "adjust" the TV??

nongeo, what model TV tuner do you have? Most of the aftermarket vehicles have a wire that you must ground (or supply 12 VDC) to in order to make the screen disappear when you start moving. Give me some more specifics and I will see what I can do about fixing that for you. If there is a will, there is a way.

I will take some pics tomorrow and show you.
I look forward to your response.
I installed a kenwood dvd in my gf car and all I did was put the wire to a ground and works fine, but this is the factory Jaguar TV/Navigation and I don't want to muck anything up. Most aftermarket TV's have a wire that goes to the E-brake relay(Supposed to) but this TV goes blank after the car goes faster than 5kmh then when you stop you have to reset it again and **** sucks ***. "Help me Obi Wan. You're my only hope!"
