Vacuum pipe on egr
Hi guys
I thought I'd give the egr a clean and when replacing the vac pipe I thought i'd give it a blow/suck (oh dear that doesn't sound clever) I found it was just hanging at the bottom and not connected. I found a 3 way rubbery thingymabob which I assumed it should be connected to. I stole a connector from my other x and plugged it in. At first I had smoke coming from egr area or below and it cut out. If the pipe is now connected the glow plug lamp illuminates. Will it do any damage running without the pipe? (until I can find the problem)
Code 0405 low pressure to egr comes up
Cheers
Dave
