Default Water leaking in ...

After I drive through the car wash, there's a stream of water that leaks out under the glove box compartment. Not continuous ... just after I get it washed. Pretty much right where the passenger's feet sit. It's not a "fluid" from the car, it's clear and odorless.

So is there a spot in the engine bay/hood area that could allow water through and drip???

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

My first thought is it's coming in where the cabin filter is. The way to check is a pain though. You have to remove the fascia piece that has the holes in it that the wiper posts pass through. So you have to remove the wipers, open the hood and turn the little screw things 1/4 turn and remove the plastic fascia. Spray water in and have a look to see if it's leaking. If it's not there might be from the windshioeld seal, car washes especially the touchless ones spray at a high volume and will shoot through anyplace it can. Check the door seal too.

Its not a bad idea to get a new cabin filter and replace it while you're in there. They aren't too expensive and because of thier placement, often get overlooked. It may be the source of your problem anyway.
