Water pump?

Gergs, as for the water pump, if you open up the hood, look to the left of the battery box. You will see a set of pulleys above the tranny (between the battery and the intake air box). These pulleys are for the water pump. You remove the battery box, remove the belt and pulleys and then the water pump comes off with a few bolts. Fairly easy to get to and probably one of the easier water pumps to replace on a vehicle.
As for your leak (sweet smell), the water pump is a possibility. I would first check the nipple for the overflow bottle. That is more likely to fail than the water pump. I would also check the radiator for any signs of leakage. With the metal core and plastic side tanks, not necessarily the strongest of radiators. Granted, don't forget the hoses. If they are still the factory hoses, they can very well be developing pin hole leaks now.
